The British royal family has amassed an enormous fortune and enjoy great wealth and splendid accommodation.
It is widely known that Queen Elizabeth lives in Buckingham Palace in London, but the royal family own several sprawling residences across the United Kingdom.
The Queen and Prince Philip
The Queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh live in Buckingham Palace throughout the working week, and leave for Windsor Castle on the weekends.
During Summer, the Queen and Prince Philip jet off to Balmoral Castle in Scotland, and spend Christmas in Sandringham House in Norfolk every year.
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles
Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, moved into his official London residence Clarence House in 2003.
The Duchess of Cornwall has also called Clarence House home since marrying into the royal family in 2005.
Clarence House was the home of the Queen’s Mother until her death in 2002, and was also where Prince William and Prince Harry lived until they moved into their own private residences.
Prince William and Kate Middleton
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate live in an apartment in Kensington Palace.
Apartment 1A has been the couple’s home since Prince William left his East Anglican Air Ambulance role to focus on his royal duties.
Will and Kate also spent time in Anmer Hall in Norfolk, on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in a two-bedroom home called Nottingham College, which has been Prince Harry’s home since 2013.
Meghan officially moved in after the pair became engaged in 2017, however they are due to move into Frogmore House after their baby is born.
