Chonk the 11.7 kilo cat needs a new home but breaks the internet instead

He's a big boi!

A Twitter post about a cat that needs re-homing has gone viral due to the MASSIVE size of the furry feline.

The cat named Mr. B but affectionately called Chonk or Big Boi, is so large that the shelter staff can be seen struggling to lift him up for his photo.

‘Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Adopt this jumbo-sized package of fluff & love,’ reads the Twitter post from Morris Animal Rescue.

The shelter in Philadelphia, USA, describes Mr. B as a ‘big cat with a big heart’, adding that he weighs a whopping 11.7 kilos – over treble the weight of an average cat!

The two-year-old short-haired tabby is looking for a new home and when the post went up three days ago, so many people tried to get on the shelter’s website it crashed for a few hours.

Then, once the website was back up and running, the shelter was inundated with applications for the big fella. In fact, they’ve had so many enquiries they released a statement to explain Mr. B’s next move.

‘We are overwhelmed by the number of wonderful people ready to give Mr. B his fur-ever home. We are excited to find him a home soon, but he’s not quite ready to go home yet. He still needs a more thorough check up by our vet. We will announce as soon as he’s ready to go!’ said the shelter.

Good luck Mr. B – we home you find a happy new home soon!
