Posting on Reddit the new mum expressed her disgust in her cousin who attending a recent family gathering at her home.
After recently giving birth the woman decided to have a baby ceremony and invited friends and family over the meet her new daughter Charlotte.
Her cousin Alice were among the attending guests.
The Reddit user continued describing that her cousins Alice had very expensive taste and was never caught wearing anything but the very best designer outfits.
The baby ceremony was no different as Alice rocked up dressed head to toe in a very lux outfit.
However, her cousin quickly learnt that wearing her four figured outfit around children is not a good decision.
‘It was Alice’s turn to hold the baby and she was happy to at first, but suddenly Charlotte vomited on her,’ she wrote
Quickly Charlotte began to cry and Alice handed her back to the mum and ran off crying. Spending the rest of the event sobbing in the car the mum went out to apologise but Alice did not want to hear her apology.
Handing her a replacement shirt, her cousin did not return to the party and went home.
Afterwards the guest asked the new mum to reimburse her the cost of the designer blouse which was over $3,000!
The anonymous Reddit user said no and said ‘At the end of the day we all know what babies can be like. She took a risk wearing something so expensive knowing a baby was nearby and unfortunately it backfired.’
She ended the post asking for advice whether she did the right thing in which many comments were in favour of the woman.
‘Common sense to not wear expensive clothing around newborns unless you are okay with risking this happening. She should have known better,’ one person wrote.
