For most people the quick trip to popular fast-food chain McDonalds can be anything but ‘easy’ – whether it be deciding what to get, the long drive-through lines or if you have children, the nagging ‘I want the toy, I want the toy!’
Luckily, an ex employee has revealed a sneaky hack that will ensure your next visit to the popular food chain will be amazingly smooth and easy – and it all relies on asking for your receipt.
In a post on website Quora, Kamran Adan, an ex-employee from a London Maccas franchise claims staff often give priority to diners who ask for proof of purchase incase they’re a ‘mystery shopper.’
Twice a day, McDonalds has a period called, ‘Gapbuster Time’, where mystery shoppers enter various restaurants to rate their experience.
‘Basically between 12-2pm and 5-7pm workers have to be extra careful because that is when gapbusters, who are paid, visit McDonald’s restaurants and rate their experience,’ Adan wrote on the site.
‘This then goes to the overall store rating and every store manager will do everything to ensure this rating is as positive as possible.’
Ask for a receipt during these times and the staff will assume you’re a gapbuster and will do all they can to make sure your food is the absolute best it can be.
