You could spend your Friday night slurping Grange…. Or you could save your pennies and drink this $6 Coles Cab Sav instead.
Think we’re crazy? Some of the world’s most in-the-know wine experts are on our side. The Coles St Andrew Cabernet Sauvignon was just awarded the prestigious ‘Double Gold’ medal at the Melbourne International Wine Competition, judged against the world’s top drops by a panel of industry heavyweights.
In a blind tasting, the wine was awarded a gold rating by every single one of its judges, which included sommeliers, restauranteurs, wine retailers and importers. The rare unanimous decision garnered it Double Gold status – the sign of a “near perfect” wine, Pedestrian reports.
And it will only cost you $6. That’s probably a third of the price of the last avocado toast you had.
