According to Globe magazine, Kristine Griffin believes the tragic toddler’s parents John and Patsy were framed by the killers who planted “damning evidence” at the scene of the crime.
Child beauty queen JonBenet was six when she was killed at the Ramseys’ home in the suburbs of Colorado on December 25, 1996.
Globe says Kristine, who is now 39, was stunned to learn the killers “knew all about the dungeon like basement wine room where the little angel’s battered and sexually assaulted body was discovered by her devastated dad”.
The publication quoted her as saying, “I had no idea the wine cellar even existed. Her murderer had to be someone who knew every inch of the place.”
Prior to the discovery of JonBenet’s lifeless body, a ransom note demanding $118,000 – the identical amount of her father John’s Christmas bonus – was found at the scene, as well as a notepad containing the same paper this demand was written on.
Kristine added, “John and Patsy were sure they’ve never seen the legal pad on which the ransom note was written. They say it was never in their home before the killing.
“They believe it must have been planted by someone on the outside who quietly came into their home that Christmas night.”
