'I’ve transitioned into an alien'

A 33-year-old who identifies as a genderless alien, claims their chronic condition is proof they shouldn’t have been born in a human body.

Jareth Nebula Argentum, 33, was born biologically a girl, before coming out as transgender male at the age of 29. But after having tops surgery, Jareth now identifies as neither male or female gender - and instead say they want to be an alien.

Jareth told Barcroft TV: “I started realising that I didn’t want to be a gender, I didn’t want to be put in a box.  “Being an alien is more than just my gender, it’s how I am who I am.”

As part of the alien transition, Jareth, from Seattle, Washington is now planning a full hysterectomy.

They said: “I have the plans in work for getting my uterus and all my internal sexual organs removed.”

Jareth suffers from the connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which affects the body’s soft tissue, making tendons and ligaments too loose.

Because of the condition, Jareth’s sacroiliac joints dislocate regularly, causing pressure on the sciatic nerve, which can cause the hip to dislocate on average two times a week.

The condition also requires Jareth to use a cane to walk. Jareth said: “My disability makes me feel like I shouldn’t have been born in a human body. How my body reacts, it feels alien.”

A pattern of star tattoos across Jareth’s body reflect this desired alien identity. Jareth said: “I have 78 stars all over my body, I am going to stop at 333 stars.

“It is representative of the inhuman or non-human identified part of me.”

Whilst undergoing female to male gender transition, Jareth had both breasts and nipples removed and now has a completely flat chest.

Jareth said: “My family was not happy about it, most people I knew weren’t happy about it.”

Jareth’s mother, however, did provide support: “She was basically my caretaker for the recovery time for my top surgery, so I owe a lot to her.  “I definitely do not regret it; the pain is worth it.”

Jareth has been working as a professional model since the age of 15, and makeup artist since the age of 20, maintaining a passion for it throughout transitioning.

They said: “I absolutely love modelling more than most things in the world despite the difficulties that come from being disabled, transgender and trying to exist in a binary modelling world."

“I do get called a freak a lot, honestly I do not care because I am a freak and I know who I am and I am proud of who I am."

Jareth has no regrets and wouldn’t change anything about how they look.

They said: “I want people to understand that it’s ok to be who you are, to always be true to yourself and to how you feel and how you want to look.

“Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you’re wrong for being who you are.”
