Ingredients
400g spaghetti
2 ½ cups small broccoli florets
40g butter
300ml light thickened cream
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 cup reduced fat grated tasty cheese
1 ½ cups shredded smoked deli ham
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Add pasta and cook according to packet directions adding the broccoli in the last 2 min of cooking time. Drain.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 min. Add garlic and cheese and stir constantly until cheese is nearly melted.

Reduce heat in pan, add ham, parsley, drained pasta and broccoli and toss to combine. Cook until heated through. Garnish with shaved parmesan and cracked black pepper. Serve with garlic bread if desired.
