IMPRECIPE: Boozy Banana Daiquiri

This week’s IMPRECIPE is a boozy banana daiquiri – the perfect treat for a hot summer’s day. 

Our food experts Barbara Northwood and Amy Sinclair will show you how to create this show-stopping cocktail using minimal ingredients and easy tricks.

This fancy cocktail has just six ingredients and takes three steps. Get ready for a boozy banana taste explosion! 

Boozy Banana Daiquiri

Serves 2, Prep: 5 mins

1 medium banana, peeled, chopped

¼ cup pure cream

¼ cup lime juice

¼ cup triple sec liqueur

½ cup vodka

1 tablespoon sugar syrup

Banana slices, to decorate

1. Place banana in a blender with cream, juice, liqueur, vodka and sugar syrup.

2. Blend until pureed. Divide among two serving glasses.

3. Decorate glasses with banana slices.

Tip. To make sugar syrup, place equal quantities of water and sugar in a small saucepan. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil. Boil for 1 minute. Remove and cool. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge. Triple sec liqueur is flavoured with orange peel. Make sure all ingredients are chilled in the fridge before you start. Add ice cubes to the blender for an extra icy treat.
