Cinnamon and maple-roasted pears

Cinnamon and maple-roasted pears
Cook: 55 Minutes - Serves 4

Cooking time may vary depending on the ripeness of the pears.

Ingredients

• 4 ripe beurre bosc pears (800g)
• 1 tblsp cinnamon sugar
• ¼ cup maple syrup, plus extra to serve
• Vanilla ice-cream

Method

  1. Cut pears in half lengthways. Remove cores. Place pears, cut-side up in a small roasting pan lined with baking paper. Sprinkle over the cinnamon sugar. Drizzle with maple syrup.

  2. Cook in a moderate oven (180°C) for 40 to 45 minutes, or until pears are tender.

  3. Serve topped with ice-cream and drizzle with extra syrup.
