Ingredients
500g frozen chunky chips
1 small brown onion, finely sliced
330ml bottle sweet apple cider
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 x 200g scotch fillet or centre cut rump steaks, trimmed of excess fat

Preheat oven to 230C (210C fan forced). Arrange chips onto a baking tray and bake for 10-15 min. Turning once during baking.

Heat a medium size non-stick pan, add 20g butter and onion. Cook for 5-8 min or until onion is softened. Add cider and mustard, stir until combined. Reduce heat and simmer for a further 10 min or until reduced.

Season steaks with olive oil, salt and pepper. Heat a medium size pan (or two smaller pans) and cook steak for 3 min, turn and cook until done to your liking. Allow to stand for 2-3 min. Serve steaks with cider and onions, thick cut chips and a side salad.
