For an easy and mess-free way to crumble cookies or biscuits, place in a snap-lock bag, seal, and crush gently with a rolling pin.
- 150g packet Oreo cookies, roughly crumbled
- 1L tub good quality vanilla ice cream, softened
- 10 ice cream cones
- 200g dark chocolate
- 60g vegetable shortening (copha)
Place crumbled cookies into a bowl and add ice cream. Stir well to combine, then cover and freeze until firm.
Scoop ice cream into each cone. Transfer to a baking tray and freeze again until firm.
Place the dark chocolate and vegetable shortening into a pan. Stir over a low heat for 5 min, or until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Remove cones from freezer and dip each into chocolate mix. Return to freezer for 10 min. Serve directly from the freezer.
