Were you a teen Mum and are now in your 30s? (TL Online)
Posted: 12:31:58 pm on 31/8/2010 Modified: Never
That's Life is keen to interview a woman who was a teen mum and now has a teenager of their own. Are they watching as their friends are struggling with newborns as they have to cope with educating someone who is technically old enough to become a parent themselves?

Looking back on it all what can they reflect on and what advice would they offer to teens who are pregnant today? The piece will be a happy and positive one.

That's Life is happy to pay people for their time and they can contact Lisa Woollard on lisa.woollard@pacificmags.com.au or 02 9394 2813.

Posted: 2:51:11 pm on 31/8/2010 Modified: 2:52:47 pm on 31/8/2010

Looking for Paul FitzHenry age 40yrs (2010)

His friends called him 'Fitzy'.

Missing since 1999 from Fingle Head (near Tweed Heads NSW)

I was living in Bowen Qld…now in Townsville Qld

He is the only family I have as his bother, Mark passed away in 2005.

I have tried numerous sources to find Paul to no avail.

The not knowing if he’s dead or alive is playing havoc with my health.

I need to know if he's okay.  It’s a mother’s worse nightmare.

I love him.  I miss him!  L

I sincerely hope someone is kind enough to contact me if they know of his where-a-bouts.

Thank you in advance.

Peace 'n' Harmony to all

Bilateral high flex knee replacements in India (Janiels)
Posted: 4:37:51 pm on 6/9/2010 Modified: Never
Mr. Brian Troughton, UK

My troubles began when my left leg started to go stiff and to hurt. The doctor told me it was arthritis. The waiting list on the national health was nine to 12 months, so it had to be private. Private in England means big money. So I had to shop around. The first lead we found on the computer was a private company that was sending people to India. For the said operation this company was contacted. But at the end of the pay the price on the computer and the price they wanted to charge me was about 1100 pounds more than they were advertising. So one needs to look into things before signing up. Once again we went back to the computer and came across Dr. A.K.Venkatachalam. So we made contact with the doctor and agreed on a price for the full package- accommodation, food, surgery and physio. We were met at the airport and taken to the hospital.

Within 15 minutes of our arrival in our suite we met Dr.Venkatachalam.He sent me for an x-ray. I got back with my x-rays which the doctor showed me and informed me that both my knees were a mess. So I had to decide to get both knees done while I was there, which I did. I had the operations four days apart. The doctor who is also the surgeon Mr. Venkatachalam was on my case all the time, he called to see me three times a day, did all the dressings himself. He was a really nice person and had a good sense of humors. The nursing staffs are very clean, smart and professional. The room was clean twice a day and is also sprayed a number of times. The operating theatre was very modern and the theatre staffs were very professional and pleasant. After the operation I went to the recovery ward. It was well staffed and I received attention at all times day and night.

The physio staff called twice a day to ensure you were making good progress. After I was discharged from hospital, I stayed at a holiday resort which was recommended by Dr.Venkatachalam. It was first class the manager and staff wereA1. The doctor also arranged for another doctor to visit me three times at the resort to keep an eye and the progress of my knees. I also saw our physio twice. My friend Stephen came with me to be of any help he could. It made my life and recovery so much easier, a help above any call of friendship. He will always have my thanks. My colleague was also very impressed with the way everything went. The overall cost was about a quarter of the cost of getting it done in England, and that includes the airfare. I would recommend anyone the hospital and DR.Venkatachalam to help improve their quality of life. Keep up the good work, come up and it was a pleasure and privilege to have met you all.

Thanks for everything, I'm so glad that I spoke to you and found such a wonderful knee replacements treatment. If you need to visit this hospital then feel free here: 1.303.578.0719, info@placidway.com

question Softest, fluffiest cupcakes (gemmaphant)
Posted: 4:02:48 pm on 1/9/2010 Modified: Never
Hey all

I need help.  The cupcake recipe I've been using is always getting good feedback, but, I'd really like to find a recipe that is more fluffier and less like the consistency of a teacake (where the cake looks crumbly, instead of soft and spongey).  Should I maybe use a sponge cake recipe does anyone think?

I went through a verrrrry old Family Circle cookbook I have from the early 70's, but, there was not really any sponge cake sort of recipe in it.

So, if anyone can help, I'd be so appreciative.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

gemmaphant

Been a member of this fine forum for a while but have only just got around to introducing myself to other members!

I'm Joe Hupp, I'm a 25 year old male and I live in Dubbo, NSW - I work as a abattoir labourer at the biggest sheepmeat exporter in Australia and have been doing so for the last almost 4 years!

In 2006, I was diagnosed as suffering anxiety and panic attacks... those have somewhat disappeared! Much to my surprise, I have been able to fulfil one of the many dreams I have: the dream of taking to the skies! That's right: I have never been able to experience the world of flight! That was, until 2006 when I got the diagnosis of anxiety/panic attacks! I happen to have a relative to thank for the first ever experience - and I happened to have been able to do it this year - for the first time in 3 years, I got to go up in a helicopter at one of the country's biggest truck shows - here's the photo of the Robinson R44 I got to go up in on my own:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f152/huppypuppy_2008/Helicruz%20Helicopter%20Scenic%20Flight/100_4326.jpg?t=1283772063

I'm looking for forum members who also suffer from anxiety/panic attacks for e-pen pals - if anyone is interested, please let me know! Male or female, any age - I'm interested to hear your stories! Please leave your message and where I can contact you here!
