One mum has shared her experience on Mumsnet after witnessing a mum change herbaby's nappy on a table in a public space.
Treating herself to a ‘nice baked spud’ in an art gallery café, the mum known as Catsize said she noticed people at a nearby table ‘changing a baby's nappy on the table where they'd just eaten.’
Catsize explained: ‘My face must have been a bit of a picture because one of the women looked at me as if to say "what?".
'Feeling I had to justify myself, I said: "it's just that it's a bit grim changing a baby's nappy on a cafe table."'
However, the woman changing the nappy was less than impressed and asked if Catsize had children of her own.
‘Instead of saying "what difference would that make?" I said, "I had two children...and it was more of a hygiene thing, but yes, it had put me off my lunch somewhat', she continued.
'It was "only a bit of wee,"' was all the mum said that back.
Putting it to the members of the group, Catsize asked if she was being unreasonable, adding, ‘The loos were ten paces away, full changing facilities and pristine.’
The reaction in the forum was mixed with many saying changing a nappy on a café table is unacceptable.
'Unacceptable and disgusting,' one person wrote.
Another added: 'No it's bloody rank. Dirty caaahh!'

Not everyone had a problem with it, though.
'People put bags etc on tables and they're far dirtier than a changing mat or the outside of a nappy, another parent said. “However, if there are good, clean, facilities available then there's just no need. As for 'seeing' a bairns 'wee' nappy being changed, what's the big deal?'
This isn't the first time a nappy change has divided the internet.
Last year, a Brisbane woman was slammed after she criticised a cafe owner for being annoyed that she changed her baby's nappy on one of the cafe's tables.
The post went viral with many coming to the defence of the cafe owner.
