How to get free shopping from ALDI
Ever dreamt of being gifted a years supply of free groceries?
Well, you're officially in luck because Aldi is now accepting applicants for its exclusive 2017 Testers Club.
Over 100 shoppers will be selected across the country as a representative sample of the discount supermarket chain’s customer base, with the lucky participants receiving free grocery products in exchange for honest reviews.
The members will be sent 10 products per quarter, including pantry staples, cleaning and laundry products and beauty essentials, with the expectation that they rate at least half of these.
The initiative, which is run annually, attracted 17,000 applicants in 2016.
A spokeswoman for the German discount chain said the Testers Club was established in an effort to ensure their product range was “nimble and responsive to changing tastes and preferences” and to “ensure we meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumer.”
“We valued the input from last year’s testers, using many of their reviews on our website, catalogue and in-store,” the spokeswoman said.
She added that while the members were not paid, they, “love the opportunity to try out new Aldi products for free,” and have “significant influence on our product development and selection of what products Aldi stores will stock in the future.”
This comes as Aldi celebrates its fourth consecutive time being named Supermarket of the Year at the Roy Morgan Research Customer Satisfaction Awards.
The spokeswoman credits this to the retailer’s “consistently low prices.”
“We know that having the lowest prices in the market is what customers have come to expect from Aldi, and we will not betray this trust,” she said.
