| I'd like to try wearing fake eyelashes to a wedding I'm attending. I've never tried them before, any tips? Veronica Morrison, via email |

Big lashes are big news. They instantly transform your look and are perfect for special occasions. Lashes generally come in two types: Individual (clusters of one to three lashes) or full sets. Follow these simple steps for a fabulous faux flutter...
Individual lashes
- Line your upper lash line with a sweep of black eye liner. The line doesn't have to be thick, but it's necessary to hide any bare skin between your falsies and the base of your natural lashes.
- Using tweezers, take one falsie at a time and dip the end in the glue (usually supplied). The glue is often white but don't worry, it dries clear.
- Facing the mirror, cast your eyes down and place the falsie as close to your natural lash line as possible. Once it's made contact with your skin, hold it in place for a few seconds to allow it to set before releasing it from the tweezers. Repeat as desired. You can fill in the entire length of your lash line or just add a few to the outer corners. Try 1000hour lashes (www.1000hour.com.au) $8.95.
Full Sets - Line your upper lash line with black eyeliner
- Take one of the lash strips and spread a small amount of glue along the base, either using the glue wand (if one is provided) or a toothpick.
- Starting from the inner corner of your eye, carefully press the lash strip all the way along your natural lash line, getting as close as possible to the root of your own lashes. Hold in place for a minute and release. Repeat for the other eye. I love Manicare full set lashes ($11.95).
