I need to tame my spoilt pooch

Wowser is very spoilt but tries to bite my husband and me when we kiss. He also snaps at other dogs and strangers. Please help me stop his bad behaviour!

It sounds like Wowser thinks he's the top dog! It's important not to spoil Wowser as it often results in bad behaviour. This behaviour is common in dogs that have a strong bond with their owner. Wowser thinks he's the pack leader and that it's his job to protect you from other dogs, strangers and even your husband! You need to assert yourself as leader and set out some rules and boundaries for Wowser. These should include not letting him on the couch or your bed because that's where the pack leader relaxes. Also, ask Wowser to sit before you give him his dinner and before you play with him. This is like saying please and teaches him good manners. Be consistent with the application of your rules and Wowser will soon learn he doesn't rule the roost.
